U.S. Digital Response (USDR) is thrilled to attend the Grace Hopper Conference (GHC) this year.
Partner:
USDR will be stationed at booth PI-6 in the Public Interest Tech Pavillion in the Expo Hall. Visit us to learn more about our mission to provide free, short-term technical support to state and local governments and how technologists can use their skills to help.
We’ll be hosting a booth at the Public Interest Tech Pavillion, which is the place to be to connect with organizations using technology for good. In addition to USDR, here are some of the other ecosystem friends that will have booths nearby:
- Tech Talent Project
- Code for America
- Coding it Forward
- New America
- Federation of American Scientists
We’ll also be next to booths from various government agencies like NASA, USDS, FBI, and GSA. It’s an excellent opportunity to learn about careers, volunteering, and the general civic tech/public interest tech community.
- Volunteering with U.S. Digital Response
It’s a flexible way to use your skills for public service. Sign up here to get involved!
- Transitioning your career to government work
We have resources like our upcoming Tech to Gov job fair October 24th and resume workshops with partners like Technologists for the Public Good and Tech Talent Project.
We’re also excited to lead a hands-on Learning Lab at GHC: Using Low-code/no-code tools to give governments rich solutions quickly and at low cost (3408). Be sure to join us on Friday, September 27 in Queuing Room 1 from 12–1 pm Eastern!
Also, explore Melissa’s Learning Lab resources page for tutorials and demos you can try on your own time.
Our team will be making a point to attend many of the Public Interest Tech sessions. Check them out on the GHC scheduler, and we’ll see you there! We’re specifically excited about:
(2607) Going Public: Starting a Software Engineering Career in Government
(2416) From Big Tech to Big Impact: How to Secure a Tech Leadership Role in the Federal Government
(2104) Inclusive Human Centered Design: A Case Study on Making a Website in the Public Sector
And of course, Janelle Monáe!
